It's watchable but that's about it. Although they did not have the plot intensity or complexity when compared with any of the recent 'Bourne' or even 'Bond' movies, they were generally entertaining. It wasn't pleasant, but at least it was a place where addicts could feed their nicotine jones and keep the homicidal urges at bay. The scene cuts and movement through the various viewpoint characters is solid as well, pushing the story along quickly.
And the list goes on. Interesting story line for first episode. The tree is massive and provides thehabitat for insects, birds, snakes and monkeys. Of course it is not unusual for a screen play to deviate from the book it is based upon. However, after about an hour of this movie, in its disjointed, unexplained and unfinished scenes, shallow depictions of characters and general lack of creativity and freshness, I said to my son, well, you can leave if you want to.

This is by no means an original story, as we have seen before how corrupt public servants can be behind vile acts of violence in the name of democracy. It is an amazing tale—a coming of age story about a little girl. Dexter hunts down his daughter's killers in Panama and executes them, then returns home only to discover that his beloved wife couldn't deal with the death of their only child and has committed during his absence.
He has been nominated twice for the Golden Globe Awards and twice in the Primetime Emmy Awards. I read the book twice. Ditto the computer whiz kid. It is, indeed, a figurative jungle in Kenya. Heck, even my wife liked it! Forsyth uses the stereotypes left and right, to the point that there is no single original part in his story - first, you have a strong silent hero, who actually might be a hidden psychopath himself considering his Vietnam past , played by Sam Elliott. Maybe with a higher budget the movie could have been better. The plot never thickens, and the sequence of predictable events follows.
