The Manitou 14 is a fairly new addition to the Manitou family of rec/touring boats. Its additional 12 inches in length may not seem like a major difference at first glance, but there is a marked difference in the water. The Manitou14 capitalizes on its additional length to give better balance and glide, more graceful flow and and finer cut than any other boat at this size. At just over 14' this boat gives the feel and glide of a touring boat with the stability and comfort of a recreational kayak. The larger cockpit size allows for good ease of entry and exit. The Manitou 14 adds a forward hatch and bulkhead as well as the standard water resistant stern hatch and bulkhead to provide enough storage for more than one day, another advantage of the slightly larger size. The Manitou 14 adds a little length to the fairly compact size of other Manitou models while adding only minimal additional weight, so that carrying or car-topping the Manitou 14 is still quite easy.
