The Vixen: The Vixen's entrance outfit looked like if you looked at Shea Coulee's season 9 entrance while on psychedelics. RuPaul then enters the workroom out of drag and explains the mini-challenge, maxi-challenge and runway look that week. That means that I'm not showing him my star. Clearly somebody studied Violet Chachki's season seven mistakes. Asia, having absolutely none of it, accuses Aquaria of narcissism. However, being able to project all of her greatness onto someone else means we can see exactly what Cracker is about, even if she's not the one showing us directly.
It's exciting to see the show go back to its roots ten years on, and if they continue to tap into what's made the show great for so many years, they are really onto a winner with season 10. Sadly, the nature of the competition means that even amazing performers can be sent packing first; but if it's any consolation Vanessa is easily the most memorable first-out contestant in Drag Race herstory. This season, we're going to be bringing you a blow-by-blow review of every episode of Drag Race. That being said, Blair's ingenue gig is extremely endearing. The Judges picked the right top and bottom queen in my opinion so I won't dwell too much on that, but I do think Dusty Ray Bottoms was treated a little unfairly by Michelle; calling out a queen's signature makeup on day one felt a little uncharitable to me but then again, when has Michelle Visage been known for her charity? By closing this banner or by continuing to use Eventbrite, you agree. Bring it to the runway, runway. As Season 10 queen Mayhem Miller proudly announces in the premiere, she is the drag sister of Raven, Morgan McMichaels, Delta and Detox.
For what it's worth, Capricia has the most beautiful makeup on the runway this week, but between the inexplicably tall wig and confused costume concept, there's 0 family resemblance. But if you do, take advantage of it and go out with a bang. I mean, she pulled dollar bills from her top and made it rain on herself as she jumped into a split. Let's see she does over the season. Those mascot-sized Andy Warhol still haunt my dreams. I think Monét came in with a clear idea of what she wanted to do this season, and was perhaps tripped up by twists and turns she didn't expect. Eureka goes on to win the challenge, and earns the privilege of deciding teams for the maxi challenge.
Miz Cracker has shown great potential throughout, but seems to have a something of a mental block that has stopped her fully connecting with the comeptition. Did Ru eliminate the right queen? Kalorie: I appreciated the splits, but there's a difference between twerking and shaking your butt; something Kalorie is yet to learn. Only low point was Raja, I hope she was just having an off night. This week, the girls' got to show off the breadth of their creative talents in a runway extravaganza of self-made, drag on a dime fashion, and each and every single one of them was upstaged by Christine Aguilera. But enough of those old bitches, let's look at the new kids on the block.
TaskCracker is not affiliated with or endorsed by FranklinCovey Company. And though one episode might not be enough evidence to judge a whole season, on first impression it looks as though Drag Race might have just got her groove back. Your estimated wait is 0 minutes. Those moments where you really get to see the passion that these girls have for drag helps to elevate the show above the constructed drama and inexplicable twists, and I'm extremely grateful that the producers didn't go overboard with shade klaxons and side-eyes. Aquaria: I was so glad to see a little clown come through in Aquaria's performance. Still, Dusty seems like a unique queen with a lot to offer, so I'm excited to see what she does next. Aquaria had some struggle with her diction during the competition, and landed 2 times in the Bottom 3 on Episodes 8 and 10 but never in the Bottom 2.
Please let the Host know when you arrive. In winning, Kameron Michaels did nearly the impossible: landing in the bottom two thrice and evading elimination. Eventbrite, and certain approved third parties, use functional, analytical and tracking cookies or similar technologies to understand your event preferences and provide you with a customized experience. Even Cracker and Aquaria's same-face beef wasn't dwelt on for too long - something I was happy to see. The first indication that would be the case was when the camera cut to Eureka, who was writing her script with the help of a worksheet that looked like third-grade-level essay homework. The Vixen: Again, Vixen was entirely too much.
The queens' chemistry with their respective social media kings varies, with Asia and Raymond seeming immediately connected, while Kameron and Anthony are 100% sexy and 0% entertaining. I absolutely loved this look, and as soon as Vanessa opened her mouth I dropped dead. Admittedly they look lovely, but after that little stunt Eureka pulled with Kingsleyyy and Aquaria earlier, she can choke. It's not just the look, which is pure femininity from head to toe; the personality Cookie shows on stage is equally electric, and their runway presentation is hilarious. Tops: Vanessa Vanjie, Monique Hart, Ms Cracker. It's an illuminating rant - if you're truly secure about your place in the competition, there's no huge need to be upset about how long you have to compete for. You can't argue with that gig, man.
Given her lack of wins and multitude of bottom two appearances, it most certainly was Monét's time. However, she said it was too much and shortened it. Drag on a dime is quintessential classic drag race, testing creativity over budget and forcing the queens to show off their resourcefulness. No openly trans competitor has ever won Drag Race, though Season 6 winner Jinkx Monsoon identifies as non-binary. The queens paired with queer social media stars appear to have an advantage, as they're all drag race fanatics. Ms Cracker reliving her impoverished but artistically nourished childhood was super endearing do I smell a winner's edit? Mini-challenges don't count toward a queen's overall performance, but they usually yield prizes and are typically goofier than maxi-challenges. I don't care how thirsty you are for the crown, putting the one black guest with a white queen in the hopes that the colour difference results in said black guest looking horrible on the main stage is high-key problematic.
She capped off the look with a dark purple lip plastered in a permanent snarl. Vanessa was clearly the more exciting contestant, but when it came down to it Kalorie lip-synced circles round her. Kameron Michaels, a contestant on 'Drag Race' Season 10. No, because they were all rubbish and it was a waste of my time. Older than Snatch Game, the Makeover challenge has been a mainstay on Drag Race since the very beginning.
How can you compete with the Ain't No Other Man inro? Ms Cracker: Ms Cracker seems to really have the balance between fierce and funny completely in check. It's always important to learn , but some themes will be more important than others this year. After all, if no one goes home one episode, that gives you an extra episode to show the world how wonderful you are. Monique Heart: I love a queen who doesn't rush, and Monique ate up every single moment of her runway without the need for tricks and gimmicks. But all that being said, Monét is a legendary queen with a thriving career who will only continue to shine after this experience.
